Private Transportation, Rental Car, Public Bus, Uber and Taxi
We recommend booking ROUNDTRIP transportation to/from the airport. You will need to book these services in advance before you arrive in Cabo. There are companies that offer private transportation or shared transportation. Private transportation companies usually offer 30 minutes of shopping at Wal-mart or Costco for an additional fee when requested. We have used www.caboairportshuttle.net for private transportation. We have also used www.cabosanlucastours.net for shared transportation. There are many companies to choose from.
Thinking of renting a car? You may pay more for a car rental from the airport and they may try to offer a timeshare sales presentation with the rental. If you want to avoid that, we suggest renting a car from Avis in downtown Cabo. The rates are usually cheaper and they will deliver and pick up the car at Misiones Del Cabo if you contact them 24 hours before you need the car. Go to Avis.com and enter the location as KB6 (Pueblo Bonito Resort). If you have a Costco membership, you can also get a discount. Add discount code A108326 and then add your Costco membership number. Call 624-143-2422 24 hours before your scheduled pick up and request them to deliver the car to Misiones Del Cabo. Misiones Del Cabo has very limited parking. You will need to pay $3.50USD/per day to the HOA office to park at Misiones.
Want to catch the bus? There are public buses available and the cost is about $2USD. You will need to walk to the top of the hill to catch the public buses. Buses are very frequent.
Uber anyone? Yes, we do have Uber in Cabo San Lucas. Uber is a very inexpensive way to get around Cabo. Uber is not allowed to go to/from the airport so make sure you have booked roundtrip transportation to/from Misiones del Cabo.
Taxis are the most expensive means to getting around town. Always ask the price of a taxi before getting in the taxi.
