Baja California Sur has amazing beaches!
The best part of staying at Misiones Del Cabo is having two beaches that are not alike. Cabo Bello Beach is perfect for boogie boarding, snorkeling, swimming or just relaxing. Monuments Beach is very rocky and not suitable for swimming. Monuments Beach is for the advanced surfer. This beach is perfect for watching the surfers and being able to see the famous Arch in the distance.
Baja California Sur has amazing beaches. If you are willing to rent a car, we suggest checking out some other swimmable beaches in the area that are a short drive. Our top picks are Palmilla Beach, Chileno Beach and Cerritos Beach. All of these beaches are public beaches and have free public parking. These beaches all have sandy bottoms and lifeguards. We always suggest packing food and drinks because these beaches do not have restaurants nearby.
If you are a surfer or just wanting to take a surf lesson, we suggest Playa Acapulquito, also known as Old Man's Beach, at the Cabo Surf Hotel. You may want to pack your water shoes because this beach is rocky. This beach is great for surfers of all levels and ages. There is a restaurant, Seven Seas, if you are interested in just eating and watching the surfers.
If you are looking to explore further up the coast, we suggest heading up the East Cape to Shipwrecks and Nine Palms. These beaches are very desolate with great waves for the avid surfer. You may even see a donkey or two along the way!
